REGULATIONS OF THE SEVILLE HALF MARATHON 2025

ARTICLE 1. Purpose.

The Club de Atletismo San Pablo de Sevilla, promoter of the 30th edition of the Seville Half Marathon, to be held on January 26, 2025. All persons over 18 years of age on that date may participate, regardless of sex or nationality, and who comply with the regulations of the RFEA, FAA and World Athletics.

ARTICLE 2. Characteristics.

The circuit has a length of 21,097 meters, approved by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation and World Athletics. The start and finish line will be located at Paseo de las Delicias in Seville. It will be held on asphalt and paved terrain.

The race will start at 09:00 hours, the maximum time for the completion of the race will be 3 hours, closing the finish line at 12:00 hours.

ARTICLE 3. Registration.

Registration: Fees, dates and number of bibs.

The registration dates will be between February 1, 2024 and January 17, 2025 or until the 16,000 bibs available are used up.

The registration fee will be as follows, depending on the section:

From 01/02/2024 to 18/04/2024 or until reaching 2,000 registrants...................................................................................................... 23.00€.

Participants must have a federative license, or runner's card plus, issued by the RFEA, Royal Spanish Athletics Federation, for the day of the race. Those participants who, prior to the race, are not in possession of this title, will be able to acquire the federative license for the day during the registration process.

In the case of multiple or wave starts, the classifications will be made using the net time from the moment of crossing the start line to the moment of crossing the finish line.

Discounts

There will be a percentage of places reserved at a reduced price of 50% for athletes with disabilities (from 33%) or special economic difficulties: long-term unemployment (6 months) residing in the Municipality of Seville.

Conditions for registration with reduced price for athletes with disabilities:

Over 18 years of age on the day of the race.

Degree of disability recognized equal to or greater than 33%.

Official certificate of degree of disability must be attached directly to the registration on the web.

Failure to comply with these requirements will result in the cancellation of the registration.

Conditions for registration with reduced price for athletes with disabilities:

Conditions for registration at a reduced price for the long-term unemployed (6 months):

Over 18 years of age, 18 years old on the day of the race.

Registered in the city of Seville.

Situation of long-term unemployment, from 6 consecutive months.

The unemployment certificate issued by the SAE (Andalusian Employment Service) indicating the durability of the demand must be attached to the registration on the website.

Failure to comply with these requirements will result in the cancellation of the registration.

Through it you will be able to reserve bibs for your athletes, making the payment once you have the final list of registered athletes. These pre-registrations will be accepted as long as they formalize the payment and close the list before 30/11/2024.

Clubs must enter their fiscal data in the application for access to the portal in order to register.The Organization reserves the right to request the necessary information about the constitution of the Club.

No changes to this list will be admitted, and any subsequent registration will be considered as an independent runner. The financial payment will also be made in a unified form and the name of the participating Club must appear on it.

In order to collect the bibs as a Club, they must have a minimum of 5 registered members.

The clubs will have the unified documentation in an envelope containing the list of registered runners, bib number, as well as the bibs of the different runners. It must be collected by an accredited person in charge who will sign the withdrawal of all documentation, upon presentation of the confirmation message from the Organization and proof of payment.

Ownership of the race bib.

Registration is personal and non-transferable and implies full acceptance of these rules and conditions of purchase. The registered athlete who cannot attend the race will not be able to transfer the participation rights to another person.

Considerations.

The sizes of the commemorative garments will be delivered in strict order of collection of the dorsal-chip and according to the size requested at the time of registration. The Organization does not guarantee to be able to deliver to all participants the requested t-shirt size, since the beginning of the production of the t-shirts takes place well before the closing date of registration.

Once the runner collects the runner's bag with his commemorative garment and leaves the runner's fair, the organization will consider the size as accepted and no changes will be made.

Refund policy

The registration fee will not be refunded under any circumstances and will not be carried over to the next edition except for subscribers of the refund guarantee, including injuries or work-related reasons or COVID-19, except for those who have formalized the cancellation guarantee.

At the same time that the registration is made, you can execute the cancellation guarantee that covers the possibility that you decide not to participate in the race for any circumstance, not being able to subscribe a posteriori. There are two modalities:

Standard cancellation guarantee: Cost of 2,00 €. Refund of 80% of the registration fee or change for the next edition. Available until January 10, 2025 and from January 11, 2025 to January 17, 2025 the cancellation guarantee can only be used to change for the next edition.

Premium cancellation guarantee: Cost of 4,00 €. 100% refund of the registration fee or change for the next edition. Available until January 10, 2025 and from January 11, 2025 to January 17, 2025 the cancellation guarantee can only be used to change to the next edition.

ARTICLE 4. Pick up of race bibs.

Bib numbers and bags will be handed out exclusively at the Runner's Fair, at a place to be determined with sufficient time by the organization, on January 24 and 25, 2025, from 10:00 to 20:00 hours, and may not be handed out outside of these dates and times under any circumstances.

The rules governing during the celebration of the runner's fair will be determined by the organization to ensure the safety of participants.

No bibs will be handed out on the day of the race, only on the days and times indicated in the previous paragraph.

To pick up your bibs, you must present the payment confirmation email, along with your ID. Another person may be authorized to pick up the bibs, who must present the aforementioned documents together with an express authorization from the holder and a photocopy of the holder's ID card.

ARTICLE 5. Categories.

Under 20 M / F: Born in 2006 and 2007 (of legal age on the day of the race).

Under 23 M / F: Born from 2003 to 2005.

Senior M / F: Born from 2002 to M 35.

Master M 35 / F 35: From 35 to 39 years old.

Master M 40 / F 40: From 40 to 44 years old.

Master M 45 / F 45: From 45 to 49 years old.

Master M 50 / F 50: From 50 to 54 years old.

Master M 55 / F 55: From 55 to 59 years old

Master M 60 / F 60: From 60 to 64 years old

Master M 65 / F 65: From 65 to 69 years old

Master M 70 / F 70: From 70 years old or older

Absolute M / F: Includes all the above categories.

Athlete with Wheelchair Disability M / F

Athlete with Physical/Intellectual Disability M / F

Note: All the ages indicated must be fulfilled on the day of the race.

ARTICLE 6. Awards.

There will be trophies for the first three ranked in the general classification for men, women and wheelchairs. Awards ceremony on raceday at the stage of the finish line

Accumulation of trophies. The trophies of the general classification cannot be accumulated with those of the rest of the individual categories.

If the winning men clock in over 65 minutes, the prize money will be halved.

Expiration date:

Trophies and gifts expire after 30 calendar days.

Prize collection:

To pick up the prizes, the race bib and the identification of the winner by means of National Identity Card or similar official document will be requested.

The popular prizes of the other categories will be announced by the Organization, days before the race, in their media (Social Networks and website)

ARTICLE 7. Classifications.

To appear in the classifications it is necessary to have passed all the controls established by the Organization and judges.

The classifications are provisional until the judges declare them definitive.

Accumulation of trophies

The prizes of the general classification are not cumulative to those of the specific category in which the athlete participates.

The Organization may request the accreditation of the winners, any information contained in the registration form that could affect the classification.

Provisional classifications will be published on a board provided by the Organization next to the finish area and/or podium, being the sole and exclusive competence of the members of the RFEA Judges Committee. They will also be published later on the official website.

Claims affecting positions in the classification with prize money shall be submitted in writing to the Referee Judge within 30 minutes from the publication of the classifications, who will attend to the claim.

Other claims must be sent in writing to the Organization's mail info@mediomaratondesevilla.es, to the attention of the Judge Referee, before the Wednesday following the celebration of the race.

The Organization will communicate the Judge Referee's decisions within a maximum period of 10 days, after which the classifications will be considered final. Therefore, all trophies and prizes will be provisional until that time.

ARTICLE 8. Placement of the bib.

Participants must wear their bibs visibly on their chest, without touching, manipulating or folding them.

These bibs must be worn as they were issued, without cuts, folds, or any kind of concealment. They may be perforated to help air circulation, but the perforations shall not be made in the characters or numbers that appear on them.

The bibs have a built-in disposable chip, so they may not be bent or manipulated or altered in any way, including advertising.The race time will only be recorded if it is correctly placed on the bib-chip on the front of the trunk or chest.

No participant will be allowed to take part in the race if he/she is not wearing the appropriate bib and identification.

ARTICLE 9. Withholding of prizes and disqualifications.

The Organization may withhold the delivery of prizes, trophies and gifts in the event that there are claims and it is necessary to clarify them.

It will be a reason for disqualification:

Providing false personal data in the registration (name, surname, age...).

Failure to complete the entire route.

Being overtaken by the closing vehicles of the race.

Failure to pass through the checkpoints located on the circuit.

Not wearing the bib clearly visible on the chest or altering or hiding the advertising on it.

Running with the bib and/or chip assigned to another runner.

Failure to heed the instructions of the judges and / or staff of the Organization.

To have given the bib for photocopying and to be used by another runner.

Refusing to pass the doping control.

To behave in an unsportsmanlike manner.

Any other punishable behavior that is included in the competent federal regulations.

The medical service of the race and the referees are empowered to withdraw from the race any athlete who shows a bad physical condition.

Disqualified athletes will not have access to trophies or gifts.

The Organization reserves the right to veto the participation, in successive editions, of those who are disqualified.

ARTICLE 10.Gifts and promotions.

All those who participate in the race will be given a commemorative garment and a runner's bag.

Participants in the race will be entitled to discounts and promotions that the Organization may agree with sponsors. Such agreements, if any, will be published on the race website.

In order to access the gifts, it will be necessary to present the race bib and identify yourself by means of a National Identity Card or similar document.

The commemorative bag and garment will be available within the deadlines for the withdrawal of race bibs and upon presentation of the same.

The Organization cannot guarantee the availability of sizes due to the fact that the production of the commemorative garments is carried out on dates prior to the total number of registrations. The delivery will be made respecting what is indicated on the registration voucher until the end of stock, at which time it may be replaced by another size, the garment delivered may not be changed once accepted by the runner nor will be admitted changes of sizes with respect to those indicated in the registration.

The finisher medal will be given to the runners who complete the race.

ARTICLE 11. Signposting and refreshment stations.

The course will be signposted with auxiliary personnel who will indicate turns or changes of direction.

Each kilometer marker will be signposted.

There will be liquid refreshment posts at kilometer points 5, 10, 15.5, 18 and finish line.

The starting line will be organized by delimited areas according to the goals runners plan to make. In order to access the first drawers, it will be necessary to prove the result obtained in races of similar characteristics.

ARTICLE 12. Medical services.

The race will have medical services consisting of emergency medical equipment, mobile ICU and various advanced coordination teams in the number determined by the regulations. They will be located at the starting line, at kilometer points 5, 10, 15.5, 18 and finish line. In addition and for greater safety, there will be a medical service at the tail end of the race.

The Organization recommends all participating athletes to undergo a medical examination prior to the celebration of the race, every participant accepts the risk arising from the sport of athletics.

Any athlete with health problems is obliged to notify in advance and in writing to the Organization, to mark his bib with a red cross and to state on it his name, address, telephone number and health problem he suffers from.

COVID-19 infected runners will not be allowed to participate under any circumstances in the Seville Half Marathon in order to preserve their health, and that of all participants, volunteers, law enforcement, medical services and other personnel involved in the organization of the Seville Half Marathon.

The Organization reserves the right to require from all participants the certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 with the full dosage schedule, or failing that, a PCR test done within 72 hours prior to the celebration of the race with negative result at the expense of each runner.

ARTICLE 13. General Services for Runners.

The Organization will provide runners with the following services:

Liquid refreshments at km 5, 10, 15.5, 18 and at the finish line.

Solid supplies at the finish line.

Vehicle to pick up runners who wish to leave the race and that will circulate in the tail of the race at a speed of 8 minutes per kilometer.

One checkroom per access and toilets in the Paseo de las Delicias, the Organization will not be responsible for the valuables deposited in the checkroom.

The Organization's staff of the checkroom service may request, for security reasons and condition for admission, the opening of the bags before their deposit in order to supervise your luggage and must be delivered with the identification given by the Organization in which the bib number is expressed.

No luggage will be returned without the presentation of the corresponding bib number.

Clothes or objects that are not bagged will not be admitted.

A lost and found department will be set up and will operate until the closing of the facilities. Recovered objects will be available at the organizer's headquarters until one week after the race.

Timing based on the chip system.

ARTICLE 14. Vehicles.

The only vehicles authorized to follow the race are those designated by the Organization, which will be duly identified.

It is strictly forbidden to follow or accompany the runners on motorcycles, bicycles, skates or any other vehicle in order to avoid any accident.

It is not allowed to use any device or wheeled device during the race except for the wheelchairs of disabled athletes in wheelchairs that must be accepted by the RFEA and admitted by the Organization. The latter must compulsorily wear a helmet.

It is not allowed to participate in the company of minors or animals.

Broom car. The Organization will provide a broom car to be used by runners who do not wish to continue the race or who are forced to abandon it.

ARTICLE 15. Control and order of the race.

The control and order of the race will be entrusted to the agents of the authorities and to the Organization's authorized personnel who will act under their instructions. The runners will be obliged to comply with the rules of these regulations and the instructions that, for safety reasons, will be adopted.

When a runner is not in technical or health conditions to keep the scheduled time, he/she will be overtaken by the closing vehicle and must leave the race using the vehicles authorized for this purpose. In the event of remaining on the tracks of the circuit must comply with the rules and signs of these, being considered a user of the road.

The organization will make the distribution of access and exit boxes, to ensure the safety of participants.

No accompanying person will be allowed access either during the time established for the access of runners or during the course of the race.

Once the maximum time to complete the race has been reached, the finish line will be closed, applying the same criteria as in the previous point.

ARTICLE 16.

Damages and liability.

The Organization has a civil liability insurance to cover all liability for the effects, consequences or liabilities arising from damages, both material and personal, that may be caused by participants on the occasion of the race, to themselves, to other people and even in the event that third parties cause damage to the participant, volunteer or staff of the Organization.

Likewise, the athlete declares to be in optimal physical condition to perform this race and does so under his responsibility, exempting the Organization of the damages that may cause his participation in the race. Registration in this race implies full acceptance of these rules.

ARTICLE 17. Suspension of the race.

The race will not be suspended due to adverse weather conditions, unless there is a risk to the physical integrity of the participants or a civil emergency situation arises. In this case, the Organization will act at the request of the competent authority and sports judges.

The Organization reserves the right to modify the route, both in its itinerary and in the total distance, timetable, as well as the possibility of postponing or suspending the event for security reasons or force majeure, without this being a cause for claiming compensation or damages by the participants.

ARTICLE 18. Warning and communication of medical risks.

Any runner with medical problems (allergies, special care, etc.) must wear a label or mark with a red cross on the race bib in a visible place during the race, and must also indicate on the back of the bib his/her name, address, telephone number and specific health problem.

The runner will be obliged, for safety reasons, to inform the Organization in writing and in advance of the medical risk and his bib number before the celebration of the race.

The participant must monitor his/her health status continuously (including taking his/her temperature and monitoring any symptoms) from 14 days before the race. Pre-trip and pre-competition health checks are recommended for all registered athletes and Organization staff in order to ensure the identification of those with possible additional risks.

In case the health authorities require it, accreditation of health status or vaccination may be requested. Likewise, medical tests may be established prior to participation as part of COVID19 control protocols.

ARTICLE 19. Release form.

All participants, by the fact of taking the start, accept and sign the Release of Liability Statement, assuming the present Rules and Regulations of the RFEA, IAAF and FAA. In case of doubt, the criteria of the Judges, the Race Direction and the Organization will prevail.

ARTICLE 20. Use of information.

All participants, by registering, accept the publication of their basic data (name, surname, bib number, club, sex and category) for the management of the bib numbers and the classification of the race, and may appear in the media and websites, as well as in official photographs and videos of the race. The data may be used by the Main Sponsor.

ARTICLE 21.S afety regulations and cancellation policy associated with Covid-19.

If the health situation caused by the Covid-19 so requires, the measures deemed appropriate will be adopted, always under the protection of the competent authorities, to ensure the maximum possible safety of both participants and their companions, public, sponsors and all the staff that makes up the organization of the race (area managers, volunteers, suppliers, judges, media ...).

The devices of the start, finish line, refreshment points, services and public areas may be subject to restrictions or modifications according to the COVID-19 protocol determined by the authorities at the time of the race.

Among the measures to be taken could be the reduction of the number of participants, up to a number considered safe for the realization of the race. In such a case, the right to participate would be associated with the order of registration, with preference given to the first runners registered.

If such health situation would force to suspend the race or to reduce the number of participating athletes, the affected runners would have different options, the option to postpone their registration to the next edition in which the race will take place or to ask for a refund of 80% of their registration to offset the costs of return and organization costs incurred.

STATEMENT OF RELEASE

I declare that:

That I know and fully accept the rules of the race, as well as the regulations of the RFEA, FAA, IAAF, AIMS and AEM and World Athletics.

That I am in adequate physical condition and sufficiently trained to participate voluntarily in the race.

That I do not suffer from illness, disability or any other circumstance that could aggravate or damage my health by participating in the race.

That, if I suffer from illness, disability or any other circumstance that could aggravate or seriously damage my health by participating in the race, I would inform the Organization and accept the decisions taken by those responsible for the event.

I assume the risks derived from the participation in the activity such as falls, collision with vehicles, weather conditions, state of the roads and traffic (this statement is indicative).

I accept the decisions of those responsible for the race (judges, medical staff and technicians of the Organization) about my ability to complete the race safely and without risk to my health.

I authorize the Organization to use any photograph, film, recording or any other form of archive of my participation in the event, without any right to compensation.

I accept that the Organization reserves the right to make any modifications that may be necessary for a better management and development of the event.

In case of registering other people, I have communicated to them the information about the event, I have their authorization and acceptance of these clauses.

DATA PROTECTION

In compliance with the provisions of O.L. 15/1999 of Protection of Personal Data, we inform you that the personal data collected in this form will be incorporated into the automated file Half Marathon of Seville ", whose ownership corresponds to the company Half Marathon Sevilla Create SL and Athletics Sports Association San Pablo. The purpose of this file is the management of the event Half Marathon of Seville and communication with attendees, for its various editions, authorizing the publication of name and surname in the corresponding classifications. Your personal data will be used exclusively under the terms provided by current legislation, for the aforementioned purpose and to communicate news concerning this event.
